- It is not required to present a negative result on a COVID test before boarding a cruise to Israel.
- It is not required to present a negative result on a COVID test before boarding a cruise leaving Israel. This directive is established in accordance with Ministry of Health’s requirements in Israel. Additionally, the requirements of the company operating the cruise should be checked.
- The PCR testing mandate for those entering Israel at maritime border crossing were lifted, and accordingly, the isolation required until receiving a negative testing result was also cancelled.
Health declaration and entry statement
- Before boarding a cruise departing from Israel:
If the cruise departs from and returns to Israel, a entry statement must be filled out by the passengers within 48 hours before departure from Israel. Note: The declaration should be filled as an exit statement before departing.
Exempted from filling out the entry statement before departure from Israel:
• Passengers on cruises that last less than 72 hours.
• Passengers on cruises with capacity of less than 500 passengers. - Before boarding a cruise the next destination of which is Israel:
Non-Israeli citizens boarding a cruise the next destination of which is Israel need to fill out the entry statement during the 48 hours before boarding, and as earliest as possible.
Exempted from filling out the entry statement: Passengers on cruises departing from and returning to Israel, who filled out the entry statement before leaving Israel.
What tests should be taken, and when?
It is not required to take a COVID test before boarding a cruise to Israel or from Israel.
This directive is set up according to Ministry of Health’s requirements in Israel. You should also check with the cruise company operating the cruise.
Isolation
Currently there is no legal requirement of isolation after entering Israel.
If a non-Israeli citizen contracts COVID while in Israel, they should follow the guidance regarding isolation.
