COVID-19 symptoms, long-term effects and recommendations for confirmed cases

Recommendations for Confirmed COVID Cases

As of today, isolation is no longer required for those who are a confirmed COVID-19 case.

That is to say, even if you receive a positive result on a COVID test, there is no obligation to isolate.

At the same time, it should be remembered that this is a contagious disease, so if you are a confirmed case it is important to behave responsibly:

  • Stay at home: it is recommended to stay at home within 5 days from the date of the positive test, or until the symptoms disappear (Fever of 38 degrees Celsius or higher, coughing, and difficulty breathing).
  • Avoid gatherings: it is recommended to avoid gatherings within 5 days from the date of the positive test.
  • Protect those who are at risk groups: if you are a confirmed case, it is necessary to avoid close contact with those who are at risk groups, i.e. those aged 60 and older, or those suffering from a chronic diseases.
  • Wear a mask: when leaving the house at necessary cases (for example, to receive medical treatment), it is recommended to wear a mask during the entire stay outside the house.
  • Risk groups: those who are at a risk group for serious illness, and are a confirmed case, should consult with their HMO doctor as soon as possible, to check the need for receiving medical treatment, and to receive recommendations on additional vaccination dose against COVID.
